Student Materials List

 

Jo Ann Catsos – Black Ash – Traditional Meets Contemporary

Fee: $85.00-includes black ash splint, maple handle and rims for two 4” baskets, use of molds, written instructions, stain, pushpins, rubber bands, cable ties, some tools.

 

Shaving pony (or approximate 4” square piece of wood to scrape on)

1 – 1 ½” wide paint scraper **

Wooden weaving stand and post (with Ό” hole)**  #

“C” clamp (or other) to attach weaving stand to table **

Small packing tool

Small (approx. 4” diameter) water container

Sharp scissors (Fiskars Soft Touch used by instructor)#

Diagonal cutters

Pencil

Tape measure

20-30 alligator clips #

Sandpaper (medium grit, foam backed) #

Personal embellishments (beads, waxed linen, yarn, shells, etc.)

Natural materials – palm inflorescence, philodendron sheaths, etc.

Disposable rubber gloves for staining

Peggie Wilcox – Natural Beginnings

Fee: $45.00 – includes cedar bark stakes, bulrush, iris leaf, various other wild naturals, instruction sheet, and use of mold. Other materials and instructions for a few small additional projects will be available if time allows.

 

Apron –cedar may stain clothing

Small embroidery scissor with a long, straight blade

Old bath towel

Small bucket or bowl for water

 

Lanny Bergner – Creating Biomorphic Basket Forms Out of Metal Mesh

Fee: $30.00 – includes wire, charcoal and plain aluminum mesh, brass wire mesh and glass frit, silicone

 

Tools will be provided but students may choose to and bring their own
