Thursday's L.A. Times, November 23, 2006, ran photos and a brief article about a new Patrick Dougherty installation right here in Los Angeles. He covered the outside of the Max Azria Store on the corner of Melrose Ave. and Laurel Ave., a block east of Crescent Heights Blvd. The work will be up for two years. Dougherty is also scheduled to complete an installation at the L.A. County Arboretum in 2008.

The exhibition "Small Works" runs through December 30th, is designed to offer artworks that would make great additions to any home… which means they would make excellent holiday gifts The contemporary California artists featured in this exhibition include: Christine Adcock, Char & Larry Anderson, Susan Amend, Julie Bagish, Dianne Bennett, Randall Bruce, Angela DeMott, John Hopkins, Steve Horn, Julie Lovejoy, Ricky Maldonado, Frank Massarella, Tom & Gerri McMillin, Kevin Myers, Saskia Martin, Jennifer Moses, Kevin Nguyen, Suzye Ogawa, David Reeser Fran Reed, Vladimir Sierra, Myra Toth, Kathy Waggoner, Nina Ward and Lisa Yu. There will also be featured a series of new limited edition posthumous works from the FRAGMENTS SERIES, created in Beatrice Wood's studio, using her molds, glazes and kilns. Sales of these charming small works will support the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts exhibitions and programs. There was an exhibit of new work at the Beatrice Wood Studio/gallery in Ojai.
The exhibit ran from September through October 21, 2006.
Two LABG members were in the exhibit--Leah Danberg and Rosalie Friis Ross.
